PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Classes to Become a Medical Assistant

At ATA College, you can take this 8-month Medical Assistant program designed to teach you the administrative and clinical skills necessary to work in both back and front office settings of a doctor’s office or similar settings.

After completing the diploma program at ATA College, students can continue in the Medical Assistant, Associate of Applied Science program. The associate degree can be completed in an additional 6 months and contains general education courses, advanced medical assisting courses, and electrocardiography.

Medical Assistant Work At:

Most medical assistants work in doctor’s offices, outpatient care centers, and hospitals.
